INTERVIEW
DUANE PETERS
by Christer Davidsson, October 2006
Hey! How are you?
45!
You just got back from touring with the U.S. Bombs. How has it been?
Brutal! A month in Brazil is way to long for that territory. The shows were great and the people are great.
Is it different to play in Brazil compared to touring the U.S. and Europe?
Once yer playing it’s the same basically.
Have you had any time to skate on the tour?
Skated a lot of parks and a pool!
How has “We Are The Problem” been received by the kids?
Good, as far as I know.
The Bombs have a new line-up. I heard Heiko from One Man Army are with you guys now? Where did Wade go?
He went and got a life.
Are you excited about the new Die Hunns album?
Yep! It’s out!
The new album is called “You Rot Me”, how come?
Just because it’s a great title.
It’s being released by Volcom Entertainment in the U.S. and People Like You in Europe. How come you hooked up with Volcom instead of putting it out on your own label Disaster?
‘Cause I don’t have the distro that Volcom has.
Tell me about the new record.
We just wanted to write a punk rock’n’roll record that was leaning a little more rock.
What’s your favorite song on the new record?
“On My Mind” with Corey singing.
You got a new guitarist, right?
Zander is the new guy and he replaced Rob Milucky who is now in The Johns.
How is it to play in the same band as your wife?
It’s pretty rad!
Will you be touring a lot to support the new album?
Thats the plan!
What would you say is the best place you ever played?
Small Alley in Kansas.
Have you had the time to work on any new releases from Disaster Records?
Civet are coming out with their new record. Also a Charley Horse CD and a single.
Any bands you’d like to recommend the readers to check out?
Still really like The Briefs, The Stitches and Swingin’ Utters.
Is there anything else you’d like to add before we say good bye?
Nope, just have a good day breathin’ man!
All right, thanks Duane. Good luck with the new Hunns record!
THANKS A TON!
