1. The Rabble – "The Battle’s Almost Over"
New Zealand trio who display more talent in this one album than some bands do in their entire career!
2. Far From Finished – "Living In The Fallout"
Musically...outstanding! Lyrically...out-fucking-standing!
3. The Unseen – "Internal Salvation"
A little darker than their previous albums with no complaints here!
4. Trashed Idols – "Alexa Artiste"
Although only an EP...each track is pure gold!
5. Buck 65 – "Situation"
A 1957-themed album brought to you in the true Buck 65 fashion. A little hip-hop mixed in with some folk music never hurt anyone!
6. Britney Spears – "Blackout"
Christer the “Mutiny Head-Honcho” swore that this album would change my life...he lied!
7. Dropkick Murphys – "The Meanest of Time"
Another great album from a great band.
8. Wednesday Night Heroes – "Guilty Pleasures"
I was lucky enough to see these guys live recently and was really impressed...the new album is a “must-have”.

This is probably one of the only albums that my girlfriend and I both enjoy.
10. Bad Religion – "New Maps Of Hell"
When I first heard this album I wasn’t as excited as I had originally planned but after giving it some time it started to grow on me.

Black Numbers Records
1. The Gaslight Anthem - "Sink or Swim"
These dudes deserve the hype, it couldn't be happening to nicer people. It's just good.
2. Polar Bear Club - "Sometimes Things Just Disappear"
I'm gonna pretend this is a 2007 release and that it didn't get delayed half a year into Feb 2008. Probably my favorite band to see live. Red Leader!
3. Static Radio NJ - "One for the Good Guys"
That's kinda cheap, I put this out but as our first release it's sentimentally way more important than the rest of these put together.
4. The Draft "In A Million Pieces" / Lifetime "S/T"
OK, I'm pretty sure these came out in 2006, but they are totally 2007 to kids like me who are behind the eight ball.
5. Broadway Calls - "S/T"
Saw them in a basement in NJ without their singer, and they were better than most band's full lineups.
6. For Science-Tomorrow's - "Just Another Day"
Ok, this is more of a want than a best of selection, but truthfully that song Even on their myspace is better than most bands entire full lengths, so if the rest of this record is terrible, which I doubt, it'd still be one of the best of 2007.
7. The Ergs! - "Books About Miles Davis"
I hope this record is from 2007, but whatever, if I slept on it, it was worth the wait.
8. Attica! Attica! - "Dead Skin Dried Blood"
Aaron from Marathon/De la Hoya's solo stuff...Red Leader Records...Equal parts suprised and impressed.
9. Dear Tonight - "We are not Men Great"
G
reat band from Brooklyn, Red Leader Records
10. Modern Life is War - "Midnight in America"

1. DOUBLE NEGATIVE - "The wonderful and frightening world of Double Negative" (No Way Records)
Yeah, we put out this record but i have to put in on my number 1 spot. It's just the best record to come out in a long time, i fucking can't get enough of it! Pure raw energy.
2. UBER - "EP" (Mindless Mutant Records)
Awesome spanish punk that's short and to the point, like early TEEN IDLES and NECROS but from spain!
3. SOCIALCIDE- "Burn In Hell Bundy" & "Demo ep" (Even Worse Records)
VA beach's best brought us some HC heavy hitters this year. Old school HC like NO LABELS, THE MOB (NY), and WHITE PIGS. Fucking GREAT!
4. VIOLENT ARREST - LP and EP (Deranged Records)
Heresy and Ripcord members got back together for some BOSTON HC worship, but still they sound like HERESY and RIPCORD. Fast and tight with no frills and no bullshit.
5.DIATRIBE - "The Aftermath EP" (Get Revenge Records)
Awesome reissue of their cassette release from 1984 or 85. So fucking good in the DISCHARGE style with a lot of Crucifix style in there as well. Bad ass fuckin shit!
6. CIVIC PROGRESS - "Petroleum Man E.P." (No Wire Records)
7 songs of blistering fast HC with lots of anger and rage to fuel the fire. 2 dudes from CARDIAC ARREST are in this band ass well, i guess that helps.
7. INSTÄNGD - "Mitt Svar På Ingenting E.P." (Sorry State Records)
Bad ass swedish hardcore in the vein of 83-85 swedish HC from sweden with dudes from regulations and tristess.
8. BARKHARD - LP (Rabid Dog Records)
Reissue of their 1985 lp on ZORLAC RECORDS. Good skate-core thrash, with a party edge like GANG GREEN or THE WORST. It's great!
9. VIOLENT MINDS - "Eyes of Death" (Parts Unknown Records)
It's been said before, but i gotta say it to. AFTER 2 YEARS OF WAITING, it finally came out. We had all been listening to copies on cd-r or tapes for the 2 years waiting, but having the finished product rules. Killer fucking hardcore like ABUSED, NEGATIVE APPROACH, DISCHARGE, and MOTORHEAD. Their best record, and will probably stay that way.
10. ANTI-YOU - "One Sided EP" (Punks Before Profits Records)
Italy's finest ANTI YOU brought us this scorcher of a record this year, and god damn it's hardly left my turntable. 7 songs of speedy HC that's in and out before you know it. Looking forward to hearing more from these rippers!
HONORABLE MENTIONS: Everything that our label NO WAY RECORDS put out, all the records i played on this year, and all the records on my friends labels like GRAVE MISTAKE, SORRY STATE, FERAL WARD, and shit! Gotta give credit where it's due!

VINI DU BRANCO | LET ME OUT / PUNK/HARDCORE PROMOTOR
SISTA SEKUNDEN - "SKYLL INTE PÅ OSS" -
This album was the turning point for me to start to appreciate music in Swedish language, this band has also an unique sound, awesome hardcore punk, luv them.
MUNICIPAL WASTE - "THE ART OF PARTYING"
Not just a revival band, they can really play thrash metal /crossover and this is a real headbanging record, even if I'm too bald for that, feels like I'm 15 years old again, damn I miss the real circle pits back in 88/89 ...good times...
LIFETIME - "S/T"
The good and old Lifetime is back, they still sound like they did before (real emocore) and I'm here waiting for them to come and play in Europe, i have to check them out before this reunion is over.
BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME - "COLORS"
Metal up your ass!!! Can't really define their sound in words but if they were kinda original on their previous stuff, this one is a masterpiece, lots of different influences, melodies and sooooo fucking technical , it's not just a bunch of good songs, it's a whole album that you must to put on the headphones, turn off the lights, lay down in your bed and enjoy it, I've been listening to that over and over again and every time I listen I can find a new detail and have a different feeling. If you're not a metal fan but like to listen some good musicians in action, check it out now !
MODERN LIFE IS WAR - "MIDNIGHT IN AMERICA"
I'm not sure if this is better than their previous record ("Witness") but it's beautiful, angry, emotional ....sounds like a lot of frustration turning into good music. They got some more rock'n'roll influences and I like that. One of the few hardcore bands nowadays exploring a different sound and not trying to be trendy in any way.
THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN - "IRE WORKS"
I've been a fan of this band since they started and they are probably one of the best live acts I've ever seen, bad ass musicians, people use to label them as "mathematical metal" I kind of agree but something involving jazz would also fit them. It's a really good album, sounds like a mix of their 2 previous full lenghts. Can't wait to see them live again.
BAD BRAINS - "BUILD A NATION"
When I got the record I liked it right away, Adam Yauch (MCA from Beastie Boys) produced the album and got a good sound, sounds old. I didn't like so much all the effects they used on H.R's (Bad Brains' singer) voice but after seeing their fiasco reunion live show I can totally understand, H.R can't sing anymore, my most expected hardcore punk reunion became a big disappointment. H.R was a joke on the stage, pretending he was playing a guitar that was not even plugged in. Was he trying to trick the fans or was it a bad joke? Where's the angry motherfucker H.R he was? He behaved like a hippie on the stage, I understand the factor of his age and all the weed smoking, but that reunion went bad . The rest of the guys in the band were actually in shape. ...Damn, what a shame. I never listened to this new album again after the show.
NEW MEXICAN DISASTER SQUAD - "PEACE WITH NOTHING"
As a huge fan of 7 Seconds it's not possible for me to start writing this review without mentioning right away the cover song in it . 7 Seconds' "Here's Your Warning", straight on!!! They picked the right song from the right band and played it perfectly. I like NMDS a lot, it's a blend of melodic punk rock with Kid Dynamite, Lifetime, some old-school hardcore and it's always a success in my opinion.
CLIPSE - "HELL HATH NO FURY"
This record was actually released in November 2006 but it was so 2007 for me so I really have to include it on my top 10. I like this record a lot, luv the beatz from Pharrel Willians (The Neptunes), it's one of the few recent hip hop releases that I have had the patience to listen to the whole record. Also saw them live last summer, really good shit...
ANGERS CURSE - "DEMO 2007"
Fresh fresh fresh!! New hardcore punk band from Västerås, Sweden. It's fast, angry, heavy and so fucking good. Since I got the demo I could not stop listening to it and I still can't believe that they could get that amazing sound from a really low budget recording in their rehearsal room. Please, check it out, it's worthy!!!!
